Lyons Seafoods appoints new managing director

Lyons Seafoods, Europe’s leading processor of King prawns, has appointed Charles Dawson to the newly created role of managing director.

Charles joins Lyons Seafoods after spending 16 years at Northern Foods where he held various senior positions including managing director of Palethorpes and Pork Farms Bowyers.

Ole Norgaard, chief executive of Alfesca UK, said: “Charles brings a wealth of chilled food experience and will play a pivotal role in ensuring that we continue to drive growth for the category and the business through our new “Freshly Cooked” range, and other exciting plans we have to develop the market.”
