FOOD TECHNOLOGIST / MICROBIOLOGIST

 c. £20,000 per annum

Under the direction of our Senior Technical Manager you will provide support to the Operations Team by undertaking research and development projects, monitoring and improvements of factory process controls and advising on factory improvements to maintain food quality and safety.

Candidates must have a strong background in Science and Microbiology, usually gained through a degree in a subject such as Food Science, Food Studies, Food Technology or Food Microbiology.

Some previous experience in the following would be an advantage:

• working with strict hygiene rules
• exercising communication skills to explain ideas to other scientists and factory staff
• confident approach to enforcing regulations and reporting problems
